Installation: The dovetail base should be installed
on the rifle separately from the sight body. Remove the
dovetail base by turning the windage knob until the base is
off of the main sight body. Dovetail base should be
installed in the rifle with the scale mark towards the
muzzle. Extreme care should be taken when installing the
dovetail base, hammer and punch marks will damage the
dovetail ways and make the sight inoperable.
See instructions for fitting
dovetails.
Once the dovetail base is mounted to the rifle barrel,
install the main body by aligning the dovetail ways and
sliding parts together. When the end of the windage screw
contacts the drive nut, turn the windage screw until the
windage screw begins to pull the sight body onto the
dovetail base. Move the sight body to center with the
windage screw.
Windage marks on the MVA #112 sight are spaced at .020"
(2 MOA). Adjustment as fine as 1 MOA can be made by moving
the single mark between marks on the main body. With the
sight mounted so the windage scale faces the muzzle, moving
the single mark right of center will move the point of
impact right. Move the center mark left of center on the
windage scale and point of impact will move to the left.
